Do you enjoy making friends?  Upon joining Rotary, you will gain 1.3 million friends, most of whom, you just haven’t met yet.  That is how many Rotarians there are, worldwide who will recognize your Rotary wheel lapel pin and make you feel welcome, no matter where in the world you are.
Would you feel proud to be a part of an organization that has led the fight to eradicate polio from the earth? Since a Rotarian physician started the Rotary project to end a horrible disease, Rotarians have raised more than 1 billion dollars and we are so close.  Join us and help us end polio in the two remaining countries where it still exists. Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Do you believe we should all help serve the local and world communities? The Sunrise Rotary promotes literacy with our dictionary project, feeds the hungry with our support of the school Backpack Project, provides a better Christmas by helping with the Christmas for Children program, helps the schools by administering the SAT tests in Jefferson County.  That is just some of what we do locally.  Internationally we have helped provide sanitary rest rooms and clean water in indigenous areas of Central and South America.
Does it sound as if we work hard?  Sometimes we do but it is a case of many hands making light work. Volunteering for great causes and working with friends is, indeed, light work.  We have fun doing it.
Does the Rotary 4 Way Test sound like a good way to do business and conduct yourself through life?
If you answered yes to these questions, to paraphrase Jeff Foxworthy, you just might be a Rotarian!
If helping others and having fun doing it seems like a good idea, join us for breakfast at the Highway 20 Roadhouse on any Wednesday morning at 7:15.  Look us over. Get to know us and we you. Apply for membership to the first and still the largest service club in the world.  Rotary!
